NOTE: Right to Work features are currently available for private Beta testing. If your organisation doesn't yet have access, please contact Support. Some details may change during the Beta period.

Our online Right to Work checks provide a quick, robust, and secure way of ensuring compliance thanks to our integration with a Government-certified Identity Service Provider.

With this type of check, there is no requirement to meet the candidate or to see their original documents. They simply use any mobile or tablet with a web browser (no special app required) to complete the check at a time that suits them. Our IDSP then carries out a detailed check of their documents, and provides you with a report showing the result of the identity verification, whether or not they have been able to prove their Right to Work, and (for a share code) any restrictions or time limits that apply. All you have to do is review the report and confirm that the photograph looks like the person who is working with you. On teamdetails, you can easily delegate the photo check to another user.

For a full walkthrough of the process, including details on what the candidate sees, watch our video tutorial below:

The official guidance for carrying out online checks using an IDSP is available here on gov.uk - we have designed teamdetails to lead you through the process and capture all the evidence you need to prove that the check was carried out correctly.

Some aspects of the Right to Work process, including configuring the job and starting the check, are the same whether you do the check in-person or online. For more information, see our introduction to Right to Work checks here.
